Edward Steinberg
Edward Steinberg is the Co-Founder and Chairman of Velocity Processing. As a business global strategist, Edward’s strengths are tailored to expansion and robust business protocols. He is an expert at forging relationships and a visionary whose entrepreneurial mode creates innovation and breeds success. His mantra is that “business is about relationships”.
Prior to his involvement with Velocity, Edward was the Chairman of the Board for Metro Transportation Services, Health Trans, and Metro Taxi, guiding the companies from inception until they were purchased in 1997 by Coach USA, a New York Stock Exchange company. Edward has been Vice President and Man of the Year for the Greater Miami Hotel and Motel Association, President of the Transplant Foundation for the University of Miami, President of the Haven Center for the developmentally disabled, an inaugural Executive Committee Member and member of the Board for the Greater Miami Visitor's and Convention Bureau, Vice President of Miami Dade County’s Citizen Transportation Advisory Committee, Paratransit Operator of the Year by the Taxicab, Limousine, Paratransit Association, President of the Florida Transit Operators, and President of the South Florida Non-Emergency Transportation Association.
On December 19, 1991, Miami-Dade County and the City of Miami proclaimed “Edward Steinberg Day” in recognition of his civic and business achievements. He is also a founder at Mount Sinai Hospital, a Champion at the University of Miami School of Medicine, and is involved in various philanthropic endeavors.
Jeff Davidson
Jeff Davidson is the Co-Founder and CEO of Velocity Processing. He is responsible for the company’s operations and custom-built technology, including end-to-end management of Velocity’s payment ecosystem. His areas of specialization are the development of sophisticated analytical tools utilized to perform empirical analysis of merchant statements and the implementation of customized solutions.
Jeff plays a pivotal role in the acclimation of strategic referral partners and the selection of vendor relationships. He is actively involved in Velocity’s technological innovation process, relentlessly seeking automation and process improvements – earning him the nickname “The Scientist”. Over the past several years, he has served on a number of national committees, most recently Elavon's MSP Advisory Committee, Elavon's AMEX OptBlue Committee, and Fidano’s PulsePoint Advisory Board.
Prior to entering the merchant services arena, Jeff was an enterprise application developer for Intel in California where he co-developed a worldwide stock application. He holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree (with Honors) in Decision & Information Sciences from the University of Florida, and is certified in supply chain management and logistics. Jeff’s passions include tennis, boating, golf, cooking, painting, music, automation technologies, and artificial intelligence. He is an ardent Bordeaux wine collector and an avid reader of management, negotiation, and entrepreneurial books.
Melody Caceres
Melody Caceres is the Director of Operations at Velocity Processing. She serves as the primary point of contact for Velocity's clients, ensuring their payment solutions run smoothly and efficiently. She manages onboarding, resolves issues, and maintains long-term relationships to support client satisfaction and business growth.
Melody specializes in ensuring PCI Compliance is maintained while providing top-tier customer support and proactive problem-solving skills. She serves as a key liaison, addressing client needs efficiently and delivering actionable insights through data analytics to optimize performance. Her role combines technical compliance expertise with strategic relationship management to drive client satisfaction and trust.
When Melody is not working, she devotes her time to serving at her home church alongside her husband and two children. Much of her energy is poured into volunteering and fostering a strong, nurturing family environment. She serves with the children’s ministry, where her passion lies in supporting children from broken homes and creating a safe, welcoming space where everyone feels seen, valued, and loved. Melody believes that healing and hope begin with consistent love and intentional community, and she strives to be a steady presence in the lives of the children she serves. Whether at home, church, or work, her heart is always focused on building trust, connection, and lasting impact.
