VX520 Disconnection

Failure to make the correct disconnections in the proper order may result in a loss of functionality or equipment failure. Please follow these step-by-step instructions when disconnecting your VeriFone VX520 terminal to ensure that all disconnections are made properly. Reminder1Use the images below as a reference for identifying your terminal and connections [A], [B], [C], [D], and [E].
Verification2Verify that your terminal is the "VeriFone VX520".
Access3Remove the protective plate [E] from the back of the terminal.
Disconnection4Disconnect the power plug from your electrical outlet or surge protector, not the circular tip of the power supply [A].
Disconnection5If applicable, disconnect your telephone cord [C] located above the blue phone icon.
Disconnection6If applicable, disconnect your PIN Pad cord [B] located above the turquoise "RS232" icon.
Disconnection7Disconnect the circular tip of the power supply [A] from the terminal located above the green lightning bolt icon. You may need to turn the circular tip of the power supply [A] a quarter turn as there is a locking pin that prevents the cord from falling out.
Access8Replace the protective plate [E] from the back of the terminal.
